Juri Knauth
Software/Game Developer and Mentor
Hi, I'm Juri. I'm a game
developer and I love what I do. I've been making games for about 6 years now.
I've always had a passion for games, ever since I was a kid. And I knew that one
day I wanted to develop them myself. There's something indescribably satisfying
about seeing people experience the things you've created. Whether it's a player
getting lost in an epic adventure or figuring out how to solve that one
difficult puzzle, those "A-ha!" moments are what make all those long hours worth
it.
I started development when I was creating mods for popular games like Warcraft 3 and
Starcraft 2. That
led to freelancing and eventually working on my own games. My portfolio includes
both 2D and 3D games, as well as some experience with augmented reality and
virtual reality.
I have worked as a freelancer, developing both small and large games for various
companies. My skills include Unity3D, C#, game design, level design, 3D modeling
and more. I am always looking to learn new things and improve my skills.

Motivation
Ever since I was a little kid I
always paid special attention to games creation and started building my own sequels
whenever I thought the original to be disappointing. Today I focus on creating new
titles and unique mechanics.
My goal is to create believable worlds and to discover innovative and fun ways of
interaction. Seeing the joy and emotion such work can instill in others, brings a
smile to my face every time. Most of the time I generate
new ideas or guide friends flesh out ideas for games they envision. I consider
creating and designing games that work realistically to be my major strength. I
iterate many versions of games in my head to jump-start
production. Once team production starts, I try to help wherever I can and I am also
eager to learn whatever is necessary to finish the product.
